    This is pretty ridiculous. The race itself doesn’t even offer cash prizes, Pearl Izumi has no affiliation with the race, and Pearl Izumi trail shoes are a joke

    Where does PI come off thinking this is a good idea? Seems pretty shameless to me

    Anyway, no course records will fall

    Hey Jon –

    Pearl Izumi felt that a CR should be rewarded because it’s a stout record. Why not?

    When was the last time you put a pair of PI shoes on your feet?

    And yes – course records did fall. I was there and those times are legitimate in comparison to Jurek’s former record.

    This prize money is just a progression of this sport.
