Leadville 100- Here comes Darcy!

August is coming to a close and our very own Darcy Africa is in Leadville to tackle the Leadville 100! The race has drawn a very strong field of male and female athletes. Last week Lance Armstrong broke the course record for the MTB race and rumor has it Anton K. is primed to do the same on foot. It appears there will be a alteration to the course due to a Black Hawk heliopter crash. Click HERE for story.
Good Luck Darcy! Run strong, run hard and have FUN!
We also want to send some vibes to good friend Brian Fisher. Good Luck Fish and remember to take chances…

  1. Ironically, while pacing BFish we had the chance to run with Darcy for a little while. Darcy had some tummy issues but worked through them for a very strong 3rd place finish. BFish also had some tummy issues but finished strong (as always) with a 23.07.

It was a very hot day out there but times were still fast! Tony had cramping issues after Fish hatchery and unfortunately couldn’t continue. Tim Parr came away with the win with Nick Lewis from Memphis putting in a sellar time for second.

Congrats to all! It’s always fun to be in Leadville to catch up with so many friends. Thanks for letting me pace BFish!
