Western States cancelled

 Western States has been cancelled due to the fires that are raging in California.  Very sad indeed but no doubt a good decision by the committee. Let’s just put our thoughts to the men and women fighting those fires. THANK YOU!

    It is obviously disappointing that the 2008 edition of Western States did not take place. However, it is important to see the bigger picture and realize that the fires in California outweigh the need for endurance athletes to run 100 miles. I will be back next year and look forward to the competition this venue provides.

    it must have been the hardest email the RD of WS ever sent but it was the only choice he could make. Saftey and health first. Live to race another day:)
